Weekly stats...last week on the 14th Ian found his thumb. Last time we went to the dr's he weighed 10 lbs 4 oz. He had originally lost weight and went down to 8lbs 4oz but then in less than a week he went up to 10 so I was glad about that. He's trying so hard to roll over and he's holding his head up pretty good. Only for short periods of time, but he's holding it up. He LOVES bath time! Loves it.

Yesterday was Ian's one month check up. He weighed in at 12.9 lbs. Can you believe that?! The doctor gave him a clean bill of health and said that we could not ask for anything better. So, theres some news for the website! He's almost 13 lbs?!?!?!

Today was my first day back to school, which meant it was Ian's first day of daycare with the babysitter. He did great! He gets up early with me around 4:30 a.m. and I get him all packed up and ready to be dropped off at 6:30 and then I head to school myself. I pick him back up at 1:30`ish and hes just a smiling kid! Awesome baby. He has his 4 month check up on Oct. 28th so Matt and I are making bets on how much we think he will weigh. OH! He is trying his hardest to sit up!!! Can you believe that?! When you hold him he grunts and uses his belly muscles to pull himself semi-upright. Hes not a big fan of laying on his back anymore...and he'd much rather someone hold him up so he can "Stand" than sit on his butt. Mr.Independent I tell ya. The other day Matt and I put a 9 month outfit on him and it fits pretty well! 9 months?! Matt was freaking out because Ians not even 3 months old. Hes a big boy- Wait until you see him!

Ian had his first taste of jar food the other day. The item on the menu was peaches. I snapped a pic. of his face after he took a taste so I`ll be sure to share that with you. He wasn't too fond of it, but I`m trying a little each day. What else? Oh! He loves to sleep on his side and roll over lots now. Hes a big fan of the bath still and has figured out that if he kicks his legs and swings his arms all the water goes everywhere!!! He gets a kick out of that. And of course he enjoys an occasional fart in his bath because that tickles his little butt. Other than, hes just as cute as can be!!

Breaking NEWS! Thursday of last week Ian rolled over several times. He rolled over once when he was younger, but that was more involuntary. But it counted all the same. Now, hes rolling over all the time.

The other day Ian went to the mall and had his picture taken with Santa. As usual, the youngest kid there and the best behaved. He stared at santa for quite some time. I think he was thinking about eating his beard? But the pic turned out cute, of course! We got a few just for the novelty of it.
Ian has also figured out how to throw himself, literally, out of his car seat. He wiggles his feet a little and then tosses himself down ward. Tricky little devil. He HAS to be the center of attention or he throws a tantrum! Imagine, Matt's son wanting to be the center of attention?! Other than that, he is getting ready to start daycare pretty soon so he will be around other babies more. OH! Today he rolled over the opposite direction and is loving his feet. He eats his feet every chance he gets. EVERYTHING goes in his mouth. Feet, hair, dog toys (well he tries anyways) ANYTHING. I put up a little christmas tree for us in the basement and he really likes the lights. His eyes get really big and he stares for several minutes, but then he gets bored. He and Matt have had the chance to spend lots of time together in the last few days, so that was good that they got to hang out. hmm what else? So much to say and never enough time. Oh oh ...every night I give him a bath, and every night I think he holds his pee in until he gets in the bath. He splashes around and then of course, pees in the bath. I think he just likes that I dump the water out and start again. He likes to hear the water pouring out of the bath. Silly kid. I`m very excited because his other christmas pictures come in on Dec.7th. Be on the look out!!

Ian's first Christmas went great! He received lots of nice clothes, neat books, and of course...toys! So far his favorite toy is the Learning Drum that grandma Dianne gave him. He just pounds away on that thing. Of course the corny songs make it a much more fun experience for everyone else too! The little song sings, "Play the drums everyone, play the drums..." Ian thinks that is the best thing. He is teething so he loves his pacifier. Which is a little unusal for him, but apparently its quickly becoming a good friend. The other day he discovered how to roll over onto his back from his belly. Every since then he just rolls from one side of the room to the other- literally! Although he only knows one way, so eventually he bumps into furniture and then you have to start him over again. His 6 months dr`s appt. is the 29th, so I`ll have more statistics about him then :) Other than that, he is just cracking me up every day. He "chatters" a lot with himself and his toys. He recognizes his bottle now, so he gets very upset if he sees it and you are not making him one! Every day I realize how much fun it is to be a mommy...but boy, is it a lot of work.
More to come... Stay Tuned!
